With the Spring Equinox upon us, we are reminded that once again we have an opportunity to begin anew: to start something new or to approach something with a new perspective.
Astrologically speaking, the Spring Equinox begins the astrological New Year, the time of Aries. It is the first sign of the zodiac and is symbolic of new beginnings.
New beginnings also include letting go of the old and what no longer serves you in order to make room for the new that wants to come in.
With the onset of COVID, many were forced to pause or stop what they were doing to survive in the pandemic. In many ways, COVID has been a reset button for many; forcing us to do things differently or to try new approaches. Many are still reinventing themselves in order to move forward in these new fragile times.
With that in mind, the Universe (and several astrologers and readers) has given me quite a few nudges to finally begin writing this blog. I started several times before, but the timing never seemed right.
I believe in Divine Timing and trying to force something into being before it is time often results in different or undesirable outcomes. I have learned to trust the flow of life and follow where it leads me, watching for the signs and guidance along the way.
I love writing and sharing ideas, especially the ones that have inspired and supported me through this journey we call life. And that is what I intend to offer here. Writings about different topics and sharing what I have learned that can be helpful and inspiring to support you on your journey.
As part of this introductory blog, I would like to share an inspirational work from a favorite Irish poet, philosopher and teacher, John O’Donohue from his book “To Bless the Space Between Us.” This piece has come to me several times, so I am paying attention.
For A New Beginning
“In out-of-way places of the heart,
Where your thoughts never think to wander,
This beginning has been quietly forming,
Waiting until you were ready to emerge.
For a long time, it has watched your desire,
Feeling the emptiness growing inside you,
Noticing how you willed yourself on,
Still unable to leave what you had outgrown.
It watched you play with the seduction of safety
And the gray promises that sameness whispered,
Heard the waves of turmoil rise and relent,
Wondered would you always live like this.
Then the delight, when your courage kindled,
And you stepped onto new ground,
Your eyes young again with energy and dream,
A path of plentitude opening before you.
Though your destination is not yet clear
You can trust the promise of this opening:
Unfurl yourself into the grace of beginning
That is at one with your life’s desire.
Awaken your spirit to adventure.
Hold nothing back, learn to find ease in risk:
Soon you will home in a new rhythm,
For your soul senses the world that awaits you.”
Blessings for this Spring Equinox of 2021.
May what wishes to be birthed through you be supported at this time of new beginnings and adventures.

I think you are right about the pandemic causing people to reset. It also helped some develop new interests and thanks to zoom, reach new contacts. The global Reiki community has been a great blessing.
Thanks Eileen for both comments and so true.
I would love to be initiated as a Reiki Master when the circumstances are right.
Thanks.
